Resume'

Designer Illustrator, Bill Wallace, moved from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Northborough, Massachusetts in 1965. He completed four years as an illustration major at the University of the Arts located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Twelve years ago he and his wife Fran moved to Rockland, Maine to start
Pathways Gallery. They now reside in Saco , Maine.
He was a technical illustrator for Boeing-Vertol. Since then, he became a full-time free lance illustrator and designer for many industries, information centers and museums. Many artistic creations including exhibit design, technical illustration, wildlife art, murals and dioramas, can be seen throughout the New England area.

The EcoTarium in Worcester, Massachusetts, has several projects completed by him. One of them is The African Communities Hall. This project included research, design and painting of backgrounds for nine dioramas with curved walls measuring 9' x 22.' Three-dimensional elements had to be blended into the two dimensional painting to create the illusion of great depth. This project took about two years to complete.
Also the
Waters Edge Exhibit displays 17 large paintings that cover ninety feet of wall area. This commissioned work depicts the changing moods and seasons of New England in a very colorful, dramatic way; a special backdrop for the many live animal exhibits located in this area of the museum.

Many of Bill's paintings are in print form and are available in many bookstores across the country and through the internet. His most popular work, The
Lion and the Lamb, can be found in many places world wide.

In 1998 he completed one of his largest paintings; a dramatic backdrop, (24' x 16) for a church baptistry in Bangor, Maine.

In recent years his Mac Computer has become another “paint-box” for him. He is able to create photos and graphics for Power Point presentations, publications, logos, labels, illustrations and other design applications.

He and his wife Fran, work together in their ministry, “Art for Christ.” that exhibits his large, internationally known paintings. The gallery is now located in their home in Saco, Maine
