The only real hope for our country is through Jesus Christ; repentance of our sin, receiving forgiveness, and changed hearts that make choices based in His love, living obedient lives according to His righteousness.

II Chronicles 7: 14 says it well:

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. NIV

and also Titus 2: 13, 14:

Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. NKJV
